A Full Summer Initiatives:
Food Packaging and Food Pantries

The 2023 Snack Pack Registration is Full. You can still support by donating below!
We are thrilled to share that in a single day, we had enough community members register to completely fill our volunteer spots for the 2023 Snack Pack! We can't wait to see those teams of volunteers on June 3rd, 2023- Thank you so much for your generosity and eagerness to participate!

Donations are also a tremendous support that allow us to better serve our community. In addition to the annual food packaging event, we now also sponsor food pantries at local schools in the Tallahassee area. Not only do donations help purchase food during the Summer months, but they also help with stocking, refrigerating, and operating food pantries all year long to keep local families fed. In the school year 2023-2024, A FULL SUMMER is helping to sponsor 9 Leon County School food pantries. This would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors and donors.

Distribute & Feed

Second Harvest of the Big Bend distributes snack packs to local agencies that service food insecure children during the Summer.
The 2023 A FULL SUMMER 'Snack Pack' event will take place on June 3rd FROM 10AM - 12PM AT GODBY HIGH SCHOOL!
Last year volunteers assembled 5,000 Snack Packs, each with a handwritten note to distribute to local children in our Community. We can't wait to do it again!

Volunteers are welcome to sign up individually or in groups from churches, businesses, friends, and more! We ask each volunteer working at the event to donate a minimum of $50 to cover the cost of the snacks we pack. Teams of 10 cost $500. And we appreciate donations of any amount to cover all the ways we help food insecure children (just click the donation button in the section below to contribute)!

Food Pantries

For the 2023-2024 school year, A Full Summer is helping to sponsor 9 Leon County School food pantries, and underwriting the monitoring fee for the Hope 24/7 Food Locker at Sabal Palm Elementary School.

Each pantry receives $2,000 per year. In addition to helping to sponsor the the food pantries, A Full Summer was also able to provide a refrigerator or freezer for each pantry. The addition of a refrigerator or freezer allows children and families to receive chicken, pork, and beef as well as nutritious frozen fruits and vegetables.

Thank you to all of our donors and sponsors who make these pantries possible. A Full Summer volunteers and supporters are changing the world, one child at a time!
